APBA F-Light (SST45) Regional Championship

The NGK Spark Plugs Formula 1 Powerboat Championship will be roaring into Southeast Texas for the thrill- inducing 19 th annual “Thunder on the Neches” powerboat races as the highlight of the five-day Port Neches “River Fest”. The grand celebration, held at Port Neches City Park, will feature something for every member of the family, including action-packed boat racing, live music, food, games, playground, carnival, shopping, a car and motorcycle show, and a spectacular fireworks display. Five days of fun will start on Wednesday, May and run through Sunday, with “front and center” race track seating so fans will have the best views of the whole race course. Boat racing finals will be held on Sunday when the public can enter for free! Fans will be entertained by all four of the super competitive classes within the NGK Spark Plugs F1 Powerboat series; the junior racers of J-Hydro, Tri-Hull, Formula Light and the blistering-fast Formula 1.

Inaugural Angola, IN Race

APBA Formula 1 North American Championship

The inaugural Angola Indiana event at Pokagon State Park on Lake James is centrally located between Lancing MI., Chicago IL., Detroit MI., and Indianapolis IN. The committee chaired by Swick Broadcasting’s own, Steve Swick, along with Terry Archabold from Dry Dock Marine, Jeff Bell, and Mike McBride are excited to bring the powerboat racing series to Steuben County in 2020. The NGK F1 Powerboat Championship National Boat Racing Series brings the nation’s top boat racing stars, national live streaming exposure, along with a potential of 200,000 plus spectators over a three-day event into the tri-state area.

Swick discussed the huge positive and economic impact to Angola, Steuben County, and the entire tri-state region, “The potentials for this event are endless, especially with the hope that we can bring in new people to the great quality of life and assets of Angola and Steuben County Lake region and the beauty it has to offer and hope that we can do our best to encourage them to return for years to come.”

Rockin’ The River 2020 is a family friendly event offering something for everyone. This years event will be bigger than ever before riding the success of last years event and the return of racing on the Saginaw River. National live music entertainment combined with Jet ski stunt exhibition, car show, and much more. Three days of racing by four different classes with 2 North American Championships up for crabs, don’t mis any of the action!

3 Rivers Regatta

The Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta will be celebrating its 43 rd anniversary in 2020. Three fun- filled days of NGK F1Powerboat Championship races as the centerpiece of the regatta with an annual attendance of nearly 600,000 people. Their long history of powerboat racing began with the 1982 Pittsburgh Regatta which was the first racing venue in the United States for Formula One Power Boats. British driver Roger Jenkins out dueled Italian legend Renato Molinari for the first ever Three Rivers Regatta Trophy.

The Springfield F1 Grand Prix

The Fourth Annual Springfield Ohio’s “Wake the Lake 4” powerboat event is produced by Sport, B2B motorsports and United Powerboat Performance Group. LLC. The event will feature Formula 1, Formula Lights, and J Hydro. There will also be an APBA OPC along with Mod Outboards classes making this event the true Superbowl of Powerboat Racing. As part of The NGK Spark Plugs Formula One Powerboat Championship Series, stop number 5. Located at the Clark County Fairgrounds which is less than a mile from interstate 70 between Dayton and Columbus.

Roar of the rockies

Windsor, CO

Windsor, CO : September 4-6


Roar of the Rockies- Revved Up, returned in 2019 after a 12-year hiatus from Formula One Powerboat Racing by joining the NGK Spark Plugs F1 Powerboat Championship series. Produced by Sport and Prop Fun LLC this event features Formula 1, Formula Lights, Tri-Hull, and J-Hydro on Lake Water Valley in Windsor, Colorado. Located 59 miles north of Denver with an elevation of 4,797 feet. The event which began in 2000 quickly became not only a fan favorite but competitors alike. Fans look forward to the unmistakable sounds of the Formula 1 boats coming from the valley just east of the Rocky Mountain foothills. The mountainous backdrop provides for a great community event drawing statewide fans and gear heads.
